This allows all Boots customers to declare their medical conditions to us within the comfort of their own homes, and at a time that suits them.

Protectif Medical Risk Rating is a bespoke medical screening programme which asks you relevant questions about your medical condition to let us assess your risk effectively. We believe that this system is the best in the industry. Instead of erring on the side of caution and categorising all of our customers with the same condition as having the same amount of risk (and charging an excessive premium) Protectif provides you with the industry’s closest thing to a personally underwritten travel insurance policy.

With more than 5,000 medical conditions in the database, the team behind Protectif are hugely experienced in providing customers with accurate medical risk assessments. The team work with specialists and charities to understand each condition fully, and update the programme with changes in modern medicine and research so that you are asked questions that are relevant to you and your condition.
